Golf Swing Video Analysis

Video Swing Analysis is by far the greatest teaching aid in golf instruction. The ability to receive immediate visual feedback accelerates the learning process, and therefore increases the quality of each lesson.

With Video Swing Analysis, golf swings are captured from camera to computer. The golf swing is then instantly analyzed with drawing and comparison tools as well as a golf professional swing library providing additional visual feedback.

If lower scores and a better golf swing is your goal this season, then a Video Lesson is your best chance for success.

Golf Swing Video Analysis is included for the student at no additional charge.

Pro's Tips

Welcome to the golf tip section, designed to assist you in improving your golf game

Weather Beaters

Bad weather tests your patience and your shot making. For example, keeping the ball down is the key to control when winds are strong. But in the rain, you need height and backspin to fight the effects of wet air and turf. Here's how to have a good foul-weather round.

Wind: Take It Easy
Resist the temptation to smash down on the ball when you're battling a headwind or crosswind. The secret to a low trajectory is less backspin, so take two extra clubs (a 6-iron instead of an 8-iron, for example) and make a smooth pass at the ball. You could also play the ball an inch farther back in your stance to deloft the clubface, but don't swing steeper, as that will only add backspin.
On the tee, make an easy, sweeping swing to produce a penetrating drive. You may lose a few yards, but not as many as you would with a hard-hit ball that balloons into the wind.

Rain: Pick It Clean
The results of fat contact are worse when the turf is wet. Catching the grass just a hair behind the ball on a rainy day will result in a "splat" and a shot that goes almost nowhere. Err on the side of thin contact, which is less penal than hitting it heavy. Take enough loft to get the ball up in the air and expect less carry, even on well-struck shots. For drives, tee the ball higher than normal and play it an inch farther forward to maximize hangtime.

Rules Of Golf -

Groove Rule Made Simple

U Shaped Grooves or ‘Square Grooves' apply more spin to the golf ball than V Shaped Grooves when hitting a ball out of the rough. When a ball is hit from the fairway, either groove will work well since there is no grass between the club and the ball at impact.

Tour Players were able to get the golf ball to spin on the green from shots hit from the rough, using U Shaped Grooves. This took away the value of a straight Tee Shot. The golf authorities wanted to make the Tee Shot important again, so they changed the rules back to before U Shaped Grooves were allowed.

Now, as of January 1, 2010, all Tour Players and any Amateurs playing in a U.S.Open Championship must use V Shaped Grooves.

All amateurs playing on the local or state level can continue to use U Shaped Grooves until 2024.

Golf Club Manufacturers may continue to make U Shaped Grooves until 2011.

Golf Club Retailers can continue to sell U Shaped Grooves indefinately.
